The sound of the river and the rustle of prayer flags accompany your steps as you cross several suspension bridges. In Phakding, your teahouse offers a warm welcome with hearty dal bhat or momos, and you’ll have time to relax, explore the village, or simply soak in the crisp mountain air. This gentle introduction ensures you’re well-rested and ready for the more dramatic scenery that awaits in the days ahead.

Today’s trek begins with a gentle start as you follow the thundering Dudh Koshi River upstream.
