About this trip
The Everest Three Passes Trek is the definitive high-altitude circuit for trekkers seeking an immersive Himalayan challenge. This journey crosses three formidable passes—Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La—each offering a unique vantage point into the heart of the Khumbu region. More than a simple route, it is a continuous traverse of some of the world’s most dramatic alpine landscapes, connecting the iconic landmarks of Everest Base Camp and the turquoise Gokyo Lakes in a single, sweeping arc. Designed for seasoned adventurers, this trek rewards effort with intimate views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Cho Oyu.
Our carefully crafted itinerary balances physical demand with acclimatization, ensuring you approach each pass with strength and safety. From the bustling streets of Lukla to the serene shores of Gokyo, every day is a step deeper into a world of glaciers, prayer flags, and Sherpa culture. The cost includes all necessary permits, experienced guides, porters, and comfortable teahouse accommodation, while excludes are limited to personal expenses, travel insurance, and flights. The highlights are clear: standing at the foot of the Khumbu Icefall, crossing the razor-edge ridges of the passes, and witnessing the sunrise over the world’s highest peaks from Kala Patthar. This is not just a trek; it is a complete high-altitude odyssey.
Day by day
10 days on the trail
Note —The Everest Three Passes Trek is carefully paced over 18–20 days to allow proper acclimatization at critical points like Namche Bazaar, Dingboche, and Gokyo. Each pass crossing is scheduled early in the morning for safer snow conditions and clearer views. Flexible rest days can be added at Namche or Lobuche if needed. The best seasons are spring (March–May) for stable weather and rhododendron blooms, and autumn (September–November) for crisp skies. Winter treks are possible but require more gear and flexibility due to snow. This itinerary avoids backtracking, making it efficient for experienced trekkers seeking a complete Khumbu experience.
