Overview

Welcome to the Mardi Himal Trek, a perfectly paced 7-day journey that unveils one of the Annapurna region’s best-kept secrets. This route offers a more intimate encounter with the Himalayas, leading you away from the busier trails and into serene forests, charming villages, and breathtaking alpine landscapes. With each step, the towering peaks of Machhapuchhre and Mardi Himal grow closer, rewarding your effort with views that feel almost personal.

Designed for trekkers who value quality over duration, this itinerary balances adventure with comfort, allowing you to immerse yourself in authentic mountain culture without the demands of a longer expedition. The trail winds through rhododendron forests, past terraced farmlands, and up to high ridges where the panorama of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and the iconic fishtail mountain unfolds. It’s a trek that invites you to slow down, breathe deeply, and truly connect with the landscape.

Whether you are a seasoned hiker seeking a new perspective or a first-time visitor wanting a genuine taste of the Himalayas, the Mardi Himal Trek delivers an experience that feels both wild and welcoming. Prepare to be captivated by the quiet magic of a trail that remains wonderfully unspoiled, offering a window into the heart of Nepal’s mountain world. The gradual altitude gain, from lush foothills to the dramatic high camp at 4,500 meters, makes it an accessible yet deeply rewarding adventure, where every sunrise and sunset paints the peaks in hues of gold and rose.

For those with extra time, the Mardi Himal Trek pairs beautifully with a visit to the nearby Annapurna Base Camp, a classic trek that offers a different perspective of the same massif. Alternatively, the serene Phewa Lake in Pokhara provides a perfect place to unwind after your journey, with boating, lakeside dining, and views of the surrounding hills. If you seek a shorter extension, consider a day trip to the World Peace Pagoda, a stunning stupa with panoramic vistas of Pokhara and the Annapurna range, easily accessible by a short hike or boat ride across the lake.

Winter and monsoon are possible but less recommended due to trail conditions and limited views. This trek is ideal for those wanting a shorter, less crowded Himalayan experience.

A 10 day trek including the Khopra Danda (ridge) and poon hill views

“Madan and team were less than guides and more like family during this trip. The tour itself was tiring at times (for a first time trekker) but beautiful, ever-changing and exciting all the way. Consider me a repeat customer and look forward to the first available opportunity to fly back and enjoy the beauty of Nepal and its caring people.”

Time of our lives on the Manaslu Circuit + Tsum Valley Trek

“An absolutely life-changing experience, could not have asked for anything to go better than it did. We did the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley trek in a bit over 2 weeks and had plenty of time to soak it all in, some bigger days to push ourselves and some more chill days to rest and relax. It was a perfect time to go if one can stand the cold, as we pretty much had the trail to ourselves but of course we also made some lovely friends. Our guide Moti was extremely kind, caring and helpful and we had the best time enjoying the scenes and breaking out into dance. Thank you to him for making our trip so amazing and also special thanks to Madan for helping us organise everything so easily too before we headed off.”

Touch the Himalaya, the people and its culture

“November 2025 I have done the Langtang- Gosainkunda -Helambu trek in 16 days organized by the agency Touch the Himalaya Trek & Expedition. Madan Neupane, director of the trekking agency is a friendly and trustworthy person who has a lot of experience in trekking, especially because he has been walking all the treks by himself. He is a great source of information and listened well to my personal wishes! Madan, thanks a lot for your warm welcome with the milk teas at your office and the time you spend in answering all my specific questions. I warmly recommend you and your trekking agency Touch the Himalaya Treks & expedition. In particular I like to mention my guide/porter Ram Adhikari who accompanied me 16 days during the trekking, he is a sincere and pleasant person and is able to communicate in English well. Ram, thank you for your accompany, I really liked the time (and interesting talks about Nepal and ) we had together. I warmly recommend you as a guide/ porter!”

Everest base camp trek

“This is not my first choice of Touch the Himalayas. Having good experience of one-day trip around Kathmandu last year, and based on the experience of my friends, we chose this firm again for Everest BC and Gokyo lakes individual trek. I admire director of firm Madan and his ability to meet all client expectations. Madan helped us to prepare for the trip, resolved our queries and offered complements after trek (such as massage and farewell dinner). Despite of some unpleasant weather conditions, this was wonderful trek and wonderful experience with a lot of sweet memories I also appreciate the efforts of our dear guide and porter during the trek we were the best team ever I do reconnect Touch the Himalayas to organize your trek in Nepal or ever in neighboring countries.”
